The Pas Region Metis fiddlers began in The Pas with 9 students in 2001. Led by Robert Isfeld, until his retirement from the organization, the group grew to 50 students in either guitar or fiddle. With support from the Manitoba Metis Federation, the club has continued with great success.  Other leaders have been Ryan D'Aoust and Lindsey Benyk.  Currently, champion fiddle player, Caitlin Armstrong is instructing the students, along with Amy Jackson and Kathy McKay.There have also been several guitar accompanists including Ticky Allen, Jacqueline Isfeld and today's Dave Montgomery.

There are 20 fiddlers this season, 12 returning and 8 new to the program.  Practices are held on Wednesdays after school at The Pas MMF Region Metis Hall.

The Pas Region Metis fiddlers have several bookings over the Christmas season including the Seniors' Tea and the Golden Agers' Christmas Dinner.

Registration is held every September and is open to children ages 9 and up, as well as adults.  Fiddles are available for loan during the duration of the program (October to March).
